Screen printing mesh is a key component in the screen printing process that determines the quality and characteristics of the final print. The mesh is a special fabric with a certain number of threads per inch (mesh count), which is stretched over a frame and serves as the basis for creating the printing stencil.

The main parameter of the mesh is its count (mesh), measured by the number of threads per inch. The higher this number, the finer the mesh openings, the less ink passes through, but the higher the image detail. The lower the number, the coarser the openings and the more ink is transferred to the material.

Choosing the right mesh depends on several factors: ink type (water-based, plastisol, special effects), desired ink layer thickness, required image detail, and the type of material being printed on. For standard textile printing, the most popular meshes are 62-77 mesh.

For special tasks, both very coarse meshes (12-32 mesh) are available for creating volumetric effects with glitter, flock, and puff inks, as well as very fine meshes (120-140 mesh) for high-detail CMYK printing approaching photographic quality.
